It is with the deepest sadness we announce the death of our beloved son Cavin Seth Firestone of Cheney. Our cherished Cavin was taken in a tragic car accident on Jan. 21, 2023.

He was in his Mom, Dad's and brother Tristan's thoughts at the very outset as he was conceived as a test tube baby at the University of Washington, Sept. 1994. He has been a coveted part of our lives and family since, having been born on May 25, 1995.

He grew up full speed ahead, able to make friends rapidly with an open and honest heart as his life was one adventure after another. Each day a new opportunity to live and make a new friend part of his life. This began at an early age when the family traveled annually to his Grandpa's Navy Carrier Reunions, at many locations across the country. He aided and befriended all who he contacted, making lasting relationships throughout the group. Each year when we arrived at the reunion the first thing asked of us was where is Cavin? He held a special place in all those peoples' hearts. His love of adventure also led us to visit innumerable amusement parks across the nation on spring breaks, building lasting family memories. Camping, fishing, boating, having a bonfire and being a friend were the love of his life. Cavin had many friends, and had shared experiences with his friends on local lakes, EWU tailgate parties, and meeting up with them at Wild Bills Long Bar. He most enjoyed the annual trips to the Reno National Championship Air Races. He reveled in helping friends and family any time when needed or asked.

Following graduation from Cheney High in 2013, he worked as a roofer with his brother Tristan, after which he found employment at Cheney School District, as a grounds maintenance worker, where he made many more lasting relationships. He looked forward to going to work each day, as he loved being a part of something really important and meaningful. His larger than life smile, and laughter were genuine and infectious, touching more people than we ever thought was possible. That has been demonstrated by the outpouring of support to our family, from his extended family of friends. His laughter, smile and sharing will be forever missed. The outreach extended to us is a blessing to our hearts, thanks to every one of you. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. He is survived by his mother, Marcy, father Dale, brother Tristan Firestone, nephew Ryden Firestone, grandmother Shirley Kearney, all of Spokane. He is also survived by treasured aunts, uncles, and cousins spread from Montana to Western Washington.
