Second-year girls coach Key Ryan sees dial starting to move

Technically speaking, this is year-two at the wheel for Cheney girls’ basketball head coach Ken Ryan.

But he kind of likes to think of it more as his first season.

“I got the job late,” Ryan said, noting he took over not long before the start of the season. “We didn’t have a summer (program) last year. I didn’t know the players or the coaches.” The Blackhawks finished 2-7 in Greater Spokane League play, 7-15 overall.
