“The thing which distinguishes me the most is the level of experience I have. The year I spent as Assistant U.S. Attorney, and several terms elected to the Airway Heights city council prior to this election. I’m a retired Air Force officer as well. All this experience and more. My opponent was a pastor for 25 years. Also, I have been managing the largest law firm in eastern Washington, and it takes an experienced leader to get the best out of what we have.

“Her philosophy is that we file too many cases in general. We only file a fraction of the crimes that are actually committed in the county. So the assertion that we file too many cases doesn’t take into account the fact that a lot of crime goes unreported, etc. Conklin has said that you should only file cases that you are prepared to go to trial on, and, for a number of reasons, I just don’t agree with that.”
