Headrick runs away with race, but Lakeside is top team

Reid Headrick ran away from the pack to claim the individual title, but the Lakeside Eagles dominated to win a key Northeast A League cross country meet Oct. 12 at Medical Lake. 

While Headrick ran with ease finishing over a minute ahead of his nearest competition in a time of 16 minutes, 11.93 seconds, Lakeside bottled up six of the top-10 finishes to grab the team win 22-37. Runner-up Hayden Blank’s 17:12.63 led a string of four Eagle runners across the finish line.
