SEPT. 23 Revitalize Cheney, an event hosted by the Cheney Merchants Association (CMA), took place in the Historic District of Cheney on Sept. 23rd, 2022. The event showcased a few community members such as the local public library and Eastern Washington University. The event also drew attention to a few vacant rental spaces that are available.
The CMA is now an Affiliate of the Washington Main Street program, a state-run project which aims at “Using local resources and initiative,” the website says. “The state program helps communities develop their own strategies to stimulate long term economic growth.”
The Mayor and the new Eastern Washington University President were in attendance, as well as several other community members.
