Officers investigate rape, imprisonment cases
CHENEY – Local police are investigating several crimes reported in the city last week.
On Aug. 3, police responded to a reported rape. Records show police are investigating an adult woman on allegations of rape of a 17-year-old boy.
Charges may be pending in the case, Capt. Nate Conley said Monday, Aug. 3.
In an unrelated case Aug. 4 that is being investigated, a domestic violence assault and unlawful imprisonment was reported in the 900 block of Summit Drive.
“We might have an arrest on that soon,” Conley said.
Three arrested in assault caught on tape
CHENEY – Three people were arrested Aug. 4 in the 0 block of Alki Street after the incident was caught on video.
Brandon J. Cool, 34, is facing fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief charges, records show.
His neighbors, Kayla L. Bell, 33,and Derick C. Bell, 24, are facing charges of fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct, respectively, records show.
The arrests came after investigators watched the “mutual assault” involving Cool and Kayla Bell, records show. Derick Bell’s behavior led to the disorderly conduct charge.
Wanted man arrested in Cheney
CHENEY – A man wanted on a Spokane County Superior Court felony warrant and two misdemeanor Cheney Municipal District Court warrants was apprehended Friday, Aug. 5.
Ray D. Davidson, 32, was arrested in the 1500 block of First Street, records show.
The information contained in the warrants was not available at press time.
