Independence Day extravaganza

AIRWAY HEIGHTS—The Northern Quest Casino is holding a 4th of July family-friendly entertainment event and fireworks display. BECU Live is hosting the venue.

There will be plenty of free kids’ activities, including water features, so bring appropriate clothing and a beach towel. Live music and food trucks are also a part of the festivities.

The celebration gets underway at 4 p.m, culminating with a tribute to Kalispel Tribal Members and those who’ve served in the Armed Forces, followed by a performance of the National Anthem in Salish by special guest and Kalispel Descendant EmmaRose Sullivan. The event wraps up with fireworks lighting the night sky at 10 p.m.

Gates open at 4 p.m. An adult must accompany children under the age of 16. Those attending the extravaganza are subject to bag searches and randomized security checks. Outside, fireworks, weapons, chairs, or umbrellas will not be allowed inside BECU Live.

Public intoxication, disruptive behavior, possession of marijuana and underage drinking is not permitted. Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes are allowed in designated areas only.
