Family entertainment center coming to Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY-An exciting new family entertainment business is coming to Spokane Valley. Flight 509 Adventure Park will be a locally owned family business. The 11,875 square foot facility will be located at 10502 E. Montgomery, between Pines and Argonne in Spokane Valley.

Owner Tim Homer hopes to open Flight 509 in late 2022.

"It'll be later this year or next year, the way the supply chain keeps changing," Homer said. "We should be getting the permit to start construction in the next week or two."

Flight 509's design work was done by Mercier Architecture & Planning of Spokane Valley. DCI Engineers of Spokane provided engineering.

"We've done a lot of consulting with people that do these family entertainment centers around the country. It will be unique to Spokane," Homer said. "We're doing the shell of the building ourselves. Baker Construction will do the tenant improvements once we have the shell up.

"I used to fly commercially and still have my pilot's license. So our theme is a combination of aviation and the Pacific Northwest. Hence the name Flight 509."

The Adventure Park will offer mini-bowling, Ballocity, Omni Arena Virtual Reality, a Ninja Warrior course, laser tag, bumper cars, and a ropes course. Guests will also enjoy refreshments at the Hangar Cafe.

"Unlike a trampoline park where the kids go in and the parents watch, our mix of attractions is designed for everyone to participate," Homer said.

Homer and his wife Tammy understand the family dynamic having raised children of their own.

"I have one daughter who's a senior in high school. She's off to Arizona State this fall," Homer said. "My wife has two children from a previous marriage that are in their thirties."

The Homers also own All-Star Jump which provides rentable inflatables, mechanical bulls, photo booths, carnival games, and other party rental items to Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho.
