ROSALIA — Carley Dube provided the keynote address during the March 2 Rosalia Garden Club meeting.
Dube, who teaches greenhouse gardening, discussed the importance of heat mats, lighting, watering and seeds during the program.
Garden club members start many seeds for their upcoming plant sale in June.
Dube is a retired teacher and has been gardening in a backyard greenhouse for many years.
The next Garden Club meeting is April 6.
At that session, Eva Lusk will present on how to register a “Wildlife Habitat garden” with the state Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Lusk is a Washington State University-Spokane County master gardener.
In other business, members are planning a 75th anniversity for the Garden Club in May.
