AIRWAY HEIGHTS – Sports betting is coming to the Spokane Tribe Casino. A multi-year deal that brings Caesars Sportsbook to the facility is in the final stages as Caesars Entertainment Inc., the biggest casino-entertainment company in the country and casino officials pound out the details.
According to a Feb.1 press release issued by the Spokane Tribe of Indians, the agreement expects to offer retail sports betting to sports fans a seamless experience that makes it easy and quick to make a sports wager.
"As we look forward to the completion of our first phase of expansion, this partnership is an important component for us to grow the casino," Carol Evans, chairwoman of the Spokane Tribes of Indians, said in the release.
Chris Marzotto, the casino's marketing director, said the target date to open the expansion is Thursday, Feb. 10, which will allow its clientele to wager a bet on Super Bowl LVI that takes place on Sunday, Feb. 13.
"I'm excited for the opportunity for the casino to expand into offering customers a wider variety of gaming options," Marzotto said. "Bringing a reputable brand to our casino is a big part of our future."
According to Javier De La Rosa, general manager of the casino, the new platform will provide various options for those wanting to bet on sports.
"This partnership allows us to bring a new type of guest to the property while offering expanded gaming options for all players," De La Rosa said.
