Honoring our veterans with support and jobs at home
As we honor Veteran’s Day this Friday, all Americans give thanks to the troops who serve our country. We remember those who have lose their lives defending America, we pray for the safety of those serving overseas, and we honor those veterans who returned home to serve our communities. And with thousands of troops returning home to touch economic times, we commit to providing job opportunities for veterans transitioning to civilian life.

Tigers, snakes no longer free to roam
Tigers, leopards, pit vipers, Gila Monsters, cobras’…sounds like a zoo. But, these are just some of the animals that the city of Cheney will regulate starting Dec. 1, 1996. In an ordinance passed Tuesday night the City Council voted unanimously to follow the country’s footsteps regulating dangerous animals, some of which made the papers and evening news after managing to get away from their owners. Among other things, the ordinance mandates licensing such animals, as well, the owner must carry $50,000 in liability insurance should the not-so-friendly animal get loose.
Veteran remembers how it was for Americans in WWII
The United States established a Naval presence in the Far East in 1845. These first vessels were river gunboats on the Yangtze River of China. The United States, along with other world powers, deemed it necessary to protect their interests in China. On September 18, 1931, Japan took Mukden, China. Thus Japan begin her military training and build up an army for World War Two. Another incident occurred on December 12, 1935 when the USS Panay, Yangtze River Gunboat, was bombed and sunk by the Japanese. Japan was training and building her Air Force. These incidents reflected Japan’s defiance of the United States and Great Britian.

He will concentrate on the repair of washers, driers, heaters, stoves and small appliances like mixers, toasters, and waffle irons. He will also check tubes in radios and televisions, but will do no major work in them. He also does not repair refrigerators.
