Other than trunk-or-treating, children can participate in Cheney Parks and Recreation’s Trick or Treat Drive-Through from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Parents can drive to local businesses with their children and Trick or Treat from their cars, officials said.
And Cheney Faith Center will have its Candy Corner Carnival from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at the church, 300 N. Second St.

The Medical Lake Kiwanis Club will be at the event handing out free bicycle helmets for children who are at least 3 years old.
The Kiwanis club will have 250 plain, white helmets to hand out to children to decorate themselves. The helmet giveaway will be available at the end of the event; families will be given a slip to get their helmet.
