Still time to donate a coat
CHENEY – There is still time to donate to this year’s Community Coat Drive.
There are collection boxes at Mitchell’s, Owl Pharmacy, Wren Pierson, Copy Junction, Grocery Outlet and BiMart for donating new coats only.
Collection continues through Oct. 18 with distribution from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oc. 23 at the Wren Pierson Community Center. A second distribution is planned for 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, during the Feed Cheney dinner in the Wren Pierson building,
Food drive this weekend at Mitchell’s
CHENEY – The Columbia Plateau Wildlife Management Association is planning its third annual food driver for this weekend.
The event will take place at Mitchell’s, 116 W. First St, on both Friday and Saturday, Oct. 15 and 16.
The event benefits the Cheney Food Bank and indigent local residents.
Medical Lake Fund Run needs sponsors
MEDICAL LAKE – Medical Lake Middle School is looking for donations to help its Associated Student Body put on the annual “Fund Run.”
The run, set for Nov. 5, is a fund-raiser for student government.
Sponsors are a big part of the event, organizers said.
Anyone interested in making a donation or being a donor can call Principal Matt Ziegenfuss at 509-565-3300.
