Maryjane Gilliam

– Feb. 10, 2021

Maryjane Gilliam passed away Feb. 10th, 2021 at 85 years young. She was born on Nov. 30th, 1935. Her passing came as a great shock and has left a hole in her family.

Born Maryjane Nelson she married her high school sweetheart Delbert L. Gilliam, who passed before her on June 4, 2013. They married Dec. 4, 1954, bought a farm in Four Lakes, Wash. and raised a family. They were the glue that held a growing family together.

Maryjane was known for her love of flowers and her famous petunia tree. Her skills however didn't stop at her green thumb. She often could be seen driving a tractor, or baling hay with her over-large sun hat. She was the very definition of a farmer's wife. It was nothing for her to prepare a bottle for a newborn calf and then turn around and prepare lunch for a hired crew of workers. She was no stranger to a hard day's work.

Maryjane's love of her home and the life that she and her husband Delbert had created was of the utmost importance to her. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to pass away peacefully in the home she dearly loved, much to the regret of most of her family.

She is survived by her children and family of note that dearly loved her. Sherrie Ubhoff (Don Wagner), Jeanie (Pat) McNair, Larry (Tisha) Gilliam. Grandchildren; Heidi (Matt) Schmeets, Shannon (Aaron) Marston; Tiffany Kennedy; Laurli, Amanda, and Clayton Gilliam; Ryan, Katie (Zack) Stoehr, Mattie, and Sally McNair; and several great-grandchildren.
