Cheney Congregational Church

Greetings from Cheney Congregational! Join us on Easter Sunday for a worship service outside in our parking lot. Depending on the weather you’re welcome to bring a lawn chair to sit outside, or you can stay in your car to listen to the service live over the radio. Masks and social distancing are required, but what a joy it will be to worship together outside in God’s creation. If you have any questions about our services you can contact us through our website, cheneycongregational.org.

Join us for in-person worship on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. Masks, social distancing and other precautions are in place so that we can take care of our community. We hope to see you there!

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Greetings from Emmanuel Lutheran Church. This Sunday, March 28, Emmanuel will gather in the parking lot to celebrate Palm Sunday. Next Sunday and thereafter worship will be held in the sanctuary. All services begin at 10:30 a.m.

Emmanuel’s Free Community Pantry is open to the community 24/7 and all are invited to take what you need and leave what you can. Non-perishable food and personal care items for all ages are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of this important ministry to our neighbors in need.

St. John’s Lutheran Church

St John’s Lutheran church will be starting Wednesday evening, ZOOM/LIVE, Bible studies April 14 at 7:30 p.m. Please call the church office at 509-299-4114 and leave a voicemail message with your email address for your ZOOM invitation, or join us at 223 S. Hallett St. in Medical Lake.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Rev. Kathryn Lamphere, our vicar, will preach and preside, offering Holy Eucharist Easter Sunday. Holy Week Services are Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m .; Good Friday 12 p.m .; Holy Saturday Liturgy 12 p.m. via Zoom. Because of the pandemic, the services will be an abbreviated version but include all the necessary prayers. The congregation will receive the bread and wine. All safety and sanitizing measures will be strictly observed, in particular wearing masks and keeping social distancing. All are welcome.

The memorial service in honor of our deceased priest, Rev. Christine Soule, is postponed, and will be rescheduled later, to be held at St. John’s Cathedral. We will keep you informed.

United Methodist Church

Experience the passion of Holy Week and the celebration of Easter morning at the United Methodist Church this week. We are not yet worshipping in person but a Holy Week service will be available on line or with an at home worship guide. Pastor Pat Sleeth will be preaching at our Easter Sunday service also available on both formats. Both services will be the sacred telling of this ancient, familiar and miraculous story. Alleluia, Christ is Risen. He is risen indeed.

West Plains Community Churches

The West Plains Community Churches will gather together for a joint Good Friday service, 6:30 p.m., April 2, at Medical Lake Community Church. There will be a time of worship to remember the crucifixion of Jesus and His death at Calvary. In addition the pastor from each of the four churches, Cheney Community Church, Four Lakes Community Church, Hayford Community Church, and Medical Lake Community Church will share a short message. The public is welcome. For those not able to attend in person, you can join virtually at https://www.mlcconline.net/sermons. We give praise this holy season for Jesus’ sacrifice for us.
