SPOKANE — The Spokane County Library District is helping library customers with their outdoor activities and adventures.
Customers can get started with gardening with seed packet bundles available at all Library District locations. District staff has prepackaged all the seeds from the seed libraries along with helpful gardening tips and some fun gardening activities for all ages.
Each seed bundle contains an assortment of 12 different packages of heirloom seeds (vegetables and herbs). The limit is one per customer per visit, while supplies last. Libraries are unable to accommodate special requests for specific seeds at this time.
Customers don’t need to place a hold for the seed bundles. To get a bundle, come to any library branch during regular curbside hours, call the curbside number upon arrival and ask staff for a seed bundle.

Also, the 2021 “Check Out Washington Discover Passes” have arrived at the Library District. Explore millions of acres of state parks and public lands. For fun day trips in the region, you can visit Riverside State Park, Palouse Falls and Gardner Cave, to name just of few.
Each Check Out Washington backpack includes binoculars, field guides, other interpretive materials, and a special Discover Pass for parking at Washington State Parks.
The backpacks check out for 7 days at a time and can be picked up curbside. To place a hold, visit www.scld.org/discover-pass.
