Customers are invited to give feedback on electric and natural gas plans
SPOKANE — Avista Utilities is hosting a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 5-7 p.m. to gather public feedback on its electric and natural gas integrated resource plans.
The integrated resource plan (IRP) looks at the next 20 years to determine how much electricity and natural gas will be needed and where those resources could come from while balancing reliability, cost and environmental sustainability. Public input is integral to the process, and feedback from stakeholders helps shape the final plans, which are submitted to utility commissions in each state we serve.
The public meeting will begin with a presentation on each plan and give an opportunity for questions. Then participants will have the chance to select from a variety of topic areas to learn more and give direct feedback.
More information about both plans can be found at myavista.com/IRP. Anyone interested in attending needs to register to receive details at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_dGkqejcaRLa8epxI0rKclA.
