Darlene Midgley Isaacson (66), graduated from this life on Wed., Jan. 20, 2021. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.
She was born in Ogden, Utah on July 5, 1954, to loving parents, and grew up in Utah, Ind., Calif., and Wash.. After graduating high school in Cheney, Wash., Darlene attended Brigham Young University where she met her husband, Jeff, and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.
After a short stint as an elementary school teacher, she was blessed with twins and thereafter made her life's work her family and motherhood. She loved her husband, three children and 10 grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. She devoted her life to nurturing and lifting others with warm hugs, laughter and Christian love and service. Darlene was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Newport Ward, Bellevue South Stake.
She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas Keith and Elaine Midgley, her sister Dianne, and her son-in-law, Tyler Bailey. Darlene is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jeff, her three three children, Jason (Jennifer), Rachel (Justyn Chris) and Heidi (Michael Grio), her "adopted" son, Adam (Becky) Lathrop, her brother, Daniel (Merryn) Midgley and her 10 grandchildren, Ashlyn, Isabella, Paige, Trent, Emma, Joshua, Jake, Lincoln, Harper, and Jaxon. She is also survived by countless other loved ones and friends who Darlene would surely want us to include if we had room!
Services for Darlene will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at 11 a.m. Pacific Time at Cheney Funeral Chapel in Cheney, Wash. with Bishop Ron Schiel (Newport Ward) conducting. It will be live-streamed for all family and friends who are not able to attend at https://www.facebook.com/Cheney-Funeral-Chapel-Crematory-573517282804326. A private burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Cheney, Wash.
