Cheney Congregational Church

Greetings from Cheney Congregational Church. Join us on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. for worship.

We are currently worshiping inside our sanctuary at a limited capacity and with many precautions. Bring a jacket, as we will be leaving some doors and windows open to ventilate. A live stream of the service will be available as well.

If you would like to learn more about our COVID-safety plan, you can visit our website, www.cheneycongregational.org.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Greeting from Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Although we cannot worship together as a congregation, we invite the West Plains community to access our website emmanuelcheney.org for weekly worship materials, sermon, and Zoom fellowship. If you should need pastoral support during this difficult time, please contact pastor Arianna Arends at 509-954-5886.

Emmanuel plans to gather for worship services two weeks after Spokane County opens Phase 3. Will update if plans change.

Our Free Community Pantry remains open to the community and all are invited to take what they need and leave what they can. Donations of non-perishable food and personal care items for all ages are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of this important ministry to our neighbors in need.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Rev. Kathryn Lamphere, our vicar, will preach and preside, offering Holy Eucharist. Because of the pandemic, the service will be an abbreviated version but includes all the necessary prayers beginning at 11 a.m. The congregation will receive the bread but no wine at this time.

All safety and sanitizing measures will be strictly observed, in particular wearing masks and keeping social distancing. All are welcome.

The memorial service in honor of our deceased priest, Rev. Christine Soule, is postponed and will be rescheduled later, to be held at St. John’s Cathedral. We will keep you informed.

For your contemplation: “When we are truly in this interior simplicity our whole appearance is franker, more natural. This true simplicity...makes us conscious of a certain openness, gentleness, innocence, gaiety, and serenity, which is charming when we see it near to and continually, with pure eyes. O, how amiable this simplicity is! Who will give it to me? I leave all for this. It is the Pearl of the Gospel.” Francois Fenelon

United Methodist Church

Please join us for worship this week at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Pat Sleeth will preach and continue the ‘behind the scene’ sermon series speaking on Jesus’s great commission in Matthew. Come behind the scene with us as we take a look at discipleship. We welcome Manito UMC as they join us in worship this week.

Our worship service is available online or with an at home worship guide each week. You can download the guide from the church website. You may also contact pastor Alissa Bertsch at 509- 879-2278 if you would like be added to our mailing list for a hard copy.
