Westbound I-90 closed in Spokane due to fatal crash

Expect traffic delays while investigation, cleanup continue

SPOKANE — Interstate 90 westbound is closed between Freya and altamont avenues due to a fatal crash.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred at 12:59 p.m. and the interstate's three westbound lanes are blocked.

"Traffic is getting by on the right shoulder," the patrol reported, noting the eastbound left lane is blocked by emergency vehicles.

An ETA on reopening is not yet available; westbound motorists are advised to find alternative routes, the patrol said.

There are no other details available at this time.
