Cheney Congregational Church

Greetings from Cheney Congregational Church! Join us for our current sermon series titled “God and Politics.” We are taking a look at how Jesus’ life informs the ways we engage with our politics, particularly in how we interact with those who vote differently than we do. Only Jesus’ radical love is enough to heal the current division in our nation.

Join us on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. for worship. We are currently worshiping in our parking lot outside until the end of October, and beginning on Nov. 1, we will move back into our sanctuary at a limited capacity and with many precautions. Bring a jacket or blanket, as we will be leaving some doors and windows open to ventilate. A live stream of the service will be available as well.

If you would like to learn more about our COVID-safety plan, you can visit our website, www.cheneycongregational.org.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Greeting from Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Although we cannot worship together as a congregation, we invite the West Plains community to access our website emmanuelcheney.org for weekly worship materials, sermon, and Zoom fellowship. If you should need pastoral support during this difficult time, please contact pastor Arianna Arends at 509-954-5886.

Emmanuel plans to gather for worship services two weeks after Spokane County opens Phase 3. Will update if plans change.

Our Free Community Pantry remains open to the community and all are invited to take what they need and leave what they can. Donations of non-perishable food and personal care items for all ages are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of this important ministry to our neighbors in need

United Methodist Church

A brand new sermon series begins this week at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Alissa Bertsch will start off the ‘behind the scene’ series as we take a look at how our virtual worship services are created and how missions and other projects and work of the church continue in this time of Covid. Come behind the scene with us.

Our doors remain closed at the church but our worship is available online or with an at home worship guide. You can download the guide from the church website at www.cheneyumc.org. You may also contact pastor Bertsch at 509-879-2278 if you would like be added to our mailing list for a hard copy. Our prayer is that you stay safe and warm as we head into the colder days ahead.
