Arthur "Art" Logan passed away peacefully at his home in Cheney, Wash. at the age of 93 on Aug. 12, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was a loving son, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and a great friend.
He was born Feb. 19, 1927 to Arthur and Cecelia Carroll Logan in Bayonne, N.J. where he spent his childhood. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-46.
Art then married the love of his life, Barbara A. Haas, on July 11, 1957. They raised four children in Ringwood, N.J., Summerland, B.C. and Coupeville, Wash. Art then retired in Cheney, Wash. He coached many youth sports.
Fishing was his favorite activity especially if it was with his grandchildren. He enjoyed the Oregon Coast where many family vacations were enjoyed. He also took great pride that all four of his children and all five of his grandchildren graduated from college.
Art was a very kind, giving, caring man that lived a wonderful, fulfilling life. He was known for his smile, quick wit and sense of humor. He will be remembered for the box of donuts and cookies that he would drop off while running errands.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Logan; children Susan (Gordon) Denton; Mark (Allyson), Tom (Debbie), Debby (Doug) Dodson and grandchildren Heather (Josh), Ashley, Dylan, Samantha (Thomas) and Bryce.
