A 39-year-old female was reported missing from the 2300 block of University Lane. The female returned home on Aug. 21.

Austin A. Hughes, 21, was arrested for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence on the 700 block of West 1st Street.
Residential burglary was reported on the 600 block of Elm Street. A tablet, headphones and E-cigarettes were reported stolen.
Taking motor vehicle without owner’s permission was reported on the 1100 block of Oakland Street. A white, 1993 Ford Bronco was reported taken.
Mathew A. Hamel, 39, was arrested for driving under the influence on the 1100 block of 2nd Street.
An abandoned auto was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A gray, 1980 Ford F-150 was impounded.

Trespassing was reported on the 200 block of 5th Street.
Taking motor vehicle without owner’s permission was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A 1987 Toyota Supra was reported taken, and recovered in Cheney on Aug. 24.
Vehicle prowl/attempted vehicle theft was reported on the 1000 block of Betz Road. A 1994 Honda Civic was entered, with a shaved key found broken off in the ignition.
Rape was reported at an undisclosed location in Cheney.
A mental health issue was reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road. Subject was involuntarily committed.

Benjamin G. Knight, 49, was arrested for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence on the 100 block of Alki Street.
