Kids explore clean air, toilet water, garbage-eating worms during EnviroKids’ Club programs
SPOKANE – The Library District is calling all junior scientists, nature explorers and challenge seekers to investigate some pretty cool, if not yucky stuff.
Spokane County Library District has partnered with Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency, Spokane County Water Resource Center, and Spokane Regional Solid Waste System to offer three online programs for the Spokane County EnviroKids’ Club.
According to a news release, kids taking part in the programs will discover how they can help clean the air while doing some experiments to see what you should and shouldn’t flush down the toilet. Also, kids will explore the wiggly, wonderful world of worms and how they help a garden grow.
The following online programs are for kids ages 8 and older and their families:
EnviroKids’ Club: The Air We Breathe – Monday, Aug 24, 2–3 p.m.
EnviroKids’ Club: To Flush or Not to Flush? – Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2–3 p.m.
EnviroKids’ Club: Worms Eat the Darnedest Things! – Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2–3 p.m.
For each of these programs, registration is required, including an email to receive login information. Registration closes at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23, for all three programs.
