Red flag warning issued for Eastern Washington

SPOKANE -- Local weather forecasters have issued a red flag warning for much of Eastern Washington, including Spokane County and the West Plains. Dry, breezy conditions with wind gusts up to 35 mph have increased the fire danger. The winds are expected to continue into Wednesday, with gusts up to 25 mph.

A cold front passing through on Thursday could result in some early morning frost in areas. Temperatures will heat back up this weekend, with forecasters expecting them to climb into the mid-90s.
