WEST PLAINS – Officials at the Chamber of Commerce have announced that applications for the OPENTogether Small Business and Non-profit Grant program have been reopened for a very short time.
Applications for assistance for COVID-19 only expenses are being considered from now through 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14.
The West Plains Chamber of Commerce has teamed with Greater Spokane Incorporated (GSI), the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce and other organizations to provide small businesses and non-profits access to funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The OPENTogether program’s purpose is to offset COVID-19-related expenses such as payroll, safety and operating costs, rent and other allowable expenses with $10 million of Spokane County-allocated CARES Act dollars.
Applications from small businesses with fewer than 50 full-time employees and non-profits with any number of employees that are completed in the original funding period will be given priority. Additional applications received by 5 p.m. Aug 14 will be considered for funding if grant money is still available.
Small businesses and non-profits are eligible for up to $10,000 in funding. These funds are to assist small businesses and non-profits with costs related to business interruption caused by related closures and compliance with COVID-19 public health emergency mandates.
