Congregational Church

Greetings! Cheney Congregational will begin hosting outdoor Sunday worship services in our parking lot on Aug. 2 at 9:30 a.m. We will have a “soft opening” Sunday morning service on July 19 at 9:30 a.m.

We are taking all the necessary precautions to make sure this is a safe experience for everyone. Masks will be required, we will implement social distancing and there will be no congregational singing, among other precautions. We encourage you to bring your own lawn chair, but our service will also be broadcasted directly to your car radio, so if you would prefer, you can drive into our parking lot and participate in the service without having to roll down your window or come in contact with anyone else.

We hope to see you there.

Emmanuel

Lutheran Church

Greeting from Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Although we cannot worship together as a congregation, we invite the West Plains community to access our website emmanuelcheney.org for weekly worship materials, sermon, and Zoom fellowship. If you should need pastoral support during this difficult time, please contact pastor Arianna Arends at 509-954-5886.

Emmanuel plans to gather for worship services outdoors two weeks after Spokane County opens Phase 3.

Our Free Community Pantry remains open to the community and all are invited to take what they need and leave what they can. Donations of non-perishable food and personal care items for all ages are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of this important ministry to our neighbors in need.

St. Paul’s

Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Rev. Kathryn Lamphere, our vicar, will preach and preside, offering morning prayer at 11 a.m.

All safety and sanitizing measures will be strictly observed, in particular wearing masks and keeping social distancing. All are welcome.

The memorial service in honor of our deceased priest, Rev. Christine Soule, is postponed, and will be rescheduled later, to be held at St. John’s Cathedral. We will keep you informed.

United Methodist Church

Greetings and prayers for your health and safety from the United Methodist Church. You are invited to worship with us at home online or with a worship guide while our church building remains closed. This Sunday, pastors Alissa Bertsch and Pat Sleeth will continue a new sermon series based on the book “Anxious for Nothing” by Max Lucado.

The at home worship guide is available weekly for those not wanting or able to access the online worship service. We continue to keep the health and safety of all in mind as we worship apart but stay together in spirit.
