The following are is a list of closures, cancellations and postponements brought on by federal, state and local measures to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus and the disease it carries, COVID-19.
Meals on Wheels 12 Silver Cafes for mobile seniors will now be home delivery only. Volunteers are needed for delivery across Spokane County. Potential volunteers can call 509-924-6976 or go to GSCMealsonwheels.org.
Feed Medical Lake suppers and lunches have been suspended until further notice.
Medical Lake Dollars for Scholars “Spring Thing Gala” March 28 has been postponed and merged with an event in early September.
Cheney Kiwanis April 11 Easter Egg Hunt has been canceled.
Washington State Patrol has closed its Spokane headquarters on Geiger Boulevard until further notice. Satellite offices in Ritzville, Colfax and Colville are also closed.
Cheney Book Club has canceled its March meeting due to the closure of Spokane County Library facilities.
All Spokane County Library facilities are closed through April 24.
All Cheney Parks and Recreation programs are postponed until further notice.
Cheney’s Wren Pierson Building is temporarily closed.
Cheney Clean Sweep is canceled until further notice.
Cheney Recycling Center is closed until further notice.
Cheney High School sports through April 24 and until further notice.
StageWest Community Theatre has canceled production of “Crazy Ladies.” It will be performed this fall.
