Sheriff's Office welcomes new lateral deputy

SPOKANE – On Monday morning, March 2, Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich swore in new lateral deputy Emilio Carrillo and welcomed him and his family to the agency. 

In a March 3 news release, the Sheriff’s office stated that Carrillo is 34-years-old and served as a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department for five years, prior to joining the Sheriff’s Office. Before starting his law enforcement career, he served five years in the United States Army as a military police officer and earned a bachelor’s degree in business from DeVry University.
