WEST PLAINS – Improving weather conditions invariably leads to the resumption of construction projects, and state Department of Transportation work on Interstate 90 is keeping with that saying.
Improvements to the I-90/State Route 902 interchange at exit 272/Medical Lake resumes March 9 with work on the bridge overpass. Work outside of the bridge is ongoing.
The $15.855 million project involves reconstruction at the eastbound and westbound ramp terminals, with work on new roundabouts at the intersection of SR 902 and Geiger Boulevard completed.
Further east on I-90, a preconstruction meeting for the I-90/U.S. 2 Garden Springs to Broadway Avenue ramp metering project is set for March 5. The $5.6 million project improves I-90 ramps by furnishing and installing ITS ramp meters and other ITS components at five locations, constructing foundations for ITS standards, pavement markings, permanent signing, bridge-mounted sign brackets, traffic curb, concrete barrier, guardrail and guardrail anchors, irrigations system repairs along with seeding and fertilizing.
