Upper Columbia player named Athlete of the Week

SPANGLE -- An Upper Columbia Academy basketball player has been selected as a WIAA Athlete of the Week.

Junior Evan Pierce was recognized Jan. 29 for posting "big games against Tekoa-Rosalia, Asotin and Colfax," the WIAA announcement said.

Pierce scored 88 points in the three games and had 29 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and a block.
