EWU Entrepreneurship Program receives national honors

CHENEY -- Eastern Washington University's Entrepreneurship Program has received the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship's (USASBE) 2020 Top Emerging Entrepreneurship Award, university officials announced in a Jan. 16 news release.

According to the release the award is widely recognized among entrepreneurship educators as one of the most coveted. To qualify, a program must either be in its first three years of development or have gone through a major revision during the same period.

Eastern began offering both a major and minor in entrepreneurship in fall quarter 2016.

"This is a major international award as programs apply from around the world," EWU professor Bruce Teague, founding director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, said in the release.
