Cheney Congregational Church
Cheney Congregational Church invites you to join us in worship during this season of Thanksgiving. Worship services are at 10 a.m. this Sunday. Pastor Matt Goodale will be officiating. Children’s Church is available during services for those who would like to attend. We also have a children’s area in the sanctuary.
Following services we will have our annual Thanksgiving dinner with plenty of food and conversation. This is a wonderful time of fellowship and thanksgiving.
Cheney Congregational Church is joining with Emmanuel Lutheran Church and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for combined services of Thanksgiving. This will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 2:30 p.m.
Youth in grades 6–12 are joining youth from other Cheney churches for fellowship and dinner from 4:30–6:30 p.m. each Sunday. They will be meeting at the United Methodist Church. ELM Campus Ministry meets at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Monday evenings, from 5–7 p.m. for dinner, fellowship, and services.
Choir practice will be Sunday at 9 a.m.
Picture Sunday is Nov. 24 and Sunday Dec. 1. We are creating a new membership directory and will be updating membership information and taking new pictures.
Feed Cheney is Monday, Nov. 25, at 5:30 p.m. at the Wren Pierson Building.
Cheney Congregational Church is a group of neighbors that meet on Sundays for worship and during the week for fellowship, fun and learning from each other. Please join us; we would like to meet you.
Emmanuel Lutheran Church
Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday, Nov. 24, at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate Christ the King Sunday.
Advent begins next Sunday, Dec. 1 with worship at 10:30 a.m. Our Advent mid-week service has been moved to Thursday’s Dec. 5, 12 and 19. We begin with a soup supper at noon followed by worship at 12:45 p.m.
Adult education meets Sunday’s in the upper kitchenette at 9 a.m.
Emmanuel and will host a Thanksgiving worship service this Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 2:30 p.m. This will be an ecumenical worship service with Cheney Congregational Church. All are welcome and visitors are expected.
All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items for all ages are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7. Emmanuel thanks you for your continued support of this outreach ministry to our neighbors in need.
United Methodist Church
It is a very special Sunday this week at the United Methodist Church. We will celebrate Christ the King Sunday as well as commit and consecrate our gifts of time, talent and resources. Additionally, there will be a very special baptism. Pastor Alissa Bertsch will be leading the 10 a.m. service assisted by pastor Pat Sleeth.
Calling all sixth–12th graders: You are invited to an ecumenical youth group that meets each Sunday evening at the church at 4:30 p.m. and ends with a meal at 6 p.m.
You may also be interested in joining the intergenerational confirmation class that meets each Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. at the church.
Please call the church office for additional information on other worship and study opportunities during office hours, Tuesday – Thursday from 4:30-8 p.m.
