Letter to the Editor
Honest. Consistent. Intelligent. Successful. Compassionate. Driven. Energetic. Giving.
These are the words I would use to describe Jill Weiszmann who is once again running for Cheney City Council representative Position 6. I have known both Jill and her opponent for nearly four years. As a business owner in the West Plains, a member of the West Plains Chamber of Commerce, and vice-chair of the board of directors for a local non-profit organization, I can tell you that my experience with Jill Weiszmann has been nothing short of amazing. She is dedicated to serving the needs of her community and is a consistent presence in every area of community service.
Jill has participated in fund-raisers that help local non-profit organizations. She participates in several community events and is always giving of her time and her money to various organizations. She has been a consistent member of the West Plains Chamber of Commerce and attends nearly every monthly meeting. She has worked hard toward the growth and development of not just Cheney, but the entire West Plains.
Jill has a proven track record of success, and not excuses. Her work experience shows loyalty and longevity. While I have heard the words, “Eh, it’s just Cheney” from certain individuals in the city government, to include Jill’s opponent, Jill has never taken that stance.
Cheney is important to Jill and she has worked hard for her constituents, just like she’s worked hard in her career during a time when things were more difficult for women in the workforce. And she will continue to work hard in the years to come. Be sure and cast your vote for Jill in November. She’s what’s best for Cheney.
