The Spokane County Board of Commissioners will be discussing the 2020 budgetary outlook relating to three main segments of services administered by Spokane County, at a series of roundtable meeting, according to a press release.
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, commissioners will discuss the countywide budget, general fund, property valuation and taxation. Law and justice will be the topic on Tuesday, Oct. 8, followed by roads, environmental services and human services on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
All meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be held in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room, 1026 W. Broadway Ave. in Spokane, and will be recorded and posted to the Spokane County Website and YouTube Channel.
The press release noted that, “these roundtable meetings continue the transparency commitment of the Board regarding the development of the yearly Spokane County budget.”
Commissioners voted unanimously in 2017 to provide more transparency to the public about the county budget, according to the press release.
