Victim identified in fatal Davenport collision

The Washington State Patrol has identified the man killed in a one-car accident that took place Friday, Sept. 13, seven miles south of Davenport on State Route 28.

In a news release, State Patrol officials said that at approximately 11:34 a.m., 49-year-old Leon D. Tabor of Spokane was traveling westbound near milepost 123 when the 2007 Ford Fusion he was driving left the highway towards the south side. The vehicle traveled through a ditch and was launched 100 feet into the air, striking a rock cliff side.

The cause of the accident is unknown at press time.
