Possible residential burglary was reported on the 100 block of Blackhawk Lane. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Third-degree theft was reported on the 1700 block of 3rd Street. A Hardrock bicycle was taken.

Financial fraud/online scam was reported on the 200 block of G Street.
Civil problems were reported on the 200 block of South Cheney-Spangle Road.
Aug. 21
Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the 200 block of Betz Road.
Domestic violence/verbal dispute was reported on the zero hundred block of Vine Street.
A backpack with keys was found in an unknown location in Cheney and turned in to the police station.
Third-degree theft/shoplifting was reported on the 2700 block of 1st Street. Two 17-year-old males and one 16-year-old male were arrested for taking liquor.

A suspicious person was reported on the 600 block of 4th Street.
A 47-year-old male was arrested on the 600 block of 2nd Street on a Spokane County felony warrant for failure to appear in court on second-degree burglary charges.
Aug. 23
Fourth-degree assault was reported on the 2800 block of 1st Street.
Financial fraud was reported on the 300 block of North 9th Street.
Fourth-degree assault/domestic violence was reported on the zero hundred block of Columbia Street.
Aug. 24
Third-degree malicious mischief was reported on the 500 block of Simpson Parkway. A window was shot with a BB gun.
A 35-year-old female was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended (DWLS) and a Cheney warrant for failure to appear on third-degree DWLS charges on the zero hundred block of Spokane Street.
A set of keys was found on the 2200 block of 1st Street.
Aug. 25
A 41-year-old female was arrested for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence on the 100 block of 4th Street.
A 44-year-old male and a 49-year-old male were arrested for third-degree theft/shoplifting liquor on the 2700 block of 1st Street.
