Motorcycle rider killed while attempting to stand on seat

A motorcycle rider crashed while attempting to stand on his seat Sunday evening, sustaining fatal injuries, according to a Spokane County Sheriff’s Office press release.

On Aug. 25 at approximately 6:40 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported motorcycle crash.

Deputies learned from witnesses the adult male driver of the Harley Davidson was traveling north on the 6900 block of North Wall in Spokane when the rider attempted to stand on the seat but instead slipped and fell. The motorcycle continued northbound and struck a parked pickup truck.

The rider was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office did not release the name of the rider.
