Proponents continue talks with city on location, plan September fundraiser
The Cheney Dog Park Association staged a triathlon on Aug. 3 for youth ages 5-14 to help raise money for a place for their furry friends. Ostensibly billed as “Wild Dogs,” the triathlon taking place at Cheney’s municipal pool raised $295 to go towards efforts to build a park in the city.
“It was so much fun,” dog park proponent Chris Babcock said in an email. “We will definitely be doing this again next year.”
