County holiday closures
Spokane County Public Works and Environmental Services Departments will be closed on Thursday, July 4, to observe the annual Independence Day holiday. The closure will also affect the Regional Solid Waste System — including the Transfer Stations.
All locations will reopen for business on Friday, July 5.
The Cheney Free Press to close July 4 and 5
The Cheney Free Press will be closed Thursday and Friday, July 4 and 5, in observance of the Independence Day holiday and to give its employees a much needed four-day weekend. The Cheney Free Press will be open at 8 a.m. Monday, July 8.
AH rec center basketball court opens for play
The outdoor basketball court at the Airway Heights Recreation Center and Sports Complex is officially open to the public.
The city’s Parks and Recreation department made the announcement last week on its Facebook page and invited residents to use the court to practice for Hoopfest.
The facility is will be observing holiday hours from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. on July 4.
