Cheney Congregational Church

We hope you’ll join us for our Sunday morning worship service at 10 a.m.  Our church is located at 423 N. 6th St. This Sunday, Rev. Scott Kinder-Pyle will deliver the sermon, followed by coffee and refreshments in the fellowship hall.

Women’s Fellowship will serve lunch to the kids at Crosswalk in Spokane at noon, Thursday, June 27. This program is an important part of our church’s outreach to the community.

We are currently accepting applications for our church coordinator position, and an eight hour per-week part-time position. Applicants must have strong communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Interested applicants should mail their resume to the church or email it to [email protected].

Congregants should mark their calendars for the congregational meeting following the church service on July 7. All congregants are encouraged to attend to vote on calling our new pastor.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

All are welcome to worship with us at 10:30 a.m.this Sunday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Adult education will resume 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 15.

All children entering grades 1-6 this September are invited to attend our Vacation Bible School this summer. VBS will be held Monday, July 15, to ­Friday, July 19. There is a $25 per-child fee. Staff will once again lead the VBS program. For registration forms please go to http://www.emmanuelcheney.org. Forms are located on the home page or click on the “Ministries” tab at the top of the page.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items for all ages are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7. Emmanuel thanks you for your continued support of this outreach ministry to our neighbors in need.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Holy Eucharist will be held at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside.

Congratulations to all graduates. May you continue to grow in love and wisdom.

Our vegetable gardens are once again planted, looking forward to giving the fresh food to come to the Cheney Food Bank.

Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. All are welcome.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

United Methodist Church

Sunday morning worship is at 10 a.m. each week at the United Methodist Church. This Sunday Pastor Pat Sleeth will be preaching and continue a new sermon series on Simon Peter.

Sunday school classes are in recess for the summer.
