Cheney Congregational Church
We hope you’ll join us for our Sunday morning worship service at 10 a.m. Our church is located at 423 N. 6th Street. This Sunday Rev. Scott Kinder-Pyle will deliver the sermon, followed by coffee and refreshments in the fellowship hall.
We’re a friendly congregation and welcome everyone no matter where they are on their spiritual journey.
The men of the church will meet for breakfast on Sunday, June 23 at 7:45 a.m. at the Marketplace Bakery and Eatery on 1st Street in Cheney.
The community is invited to our fourth Wednesday educational program, “Things I Learned Somewhere.” On June 26 at 7 p.m., Mariann Donley will present “Joy with Jams and Jellies.” Donley is well known in the area for her incredible preserves. The one hour presentation is free and open to the public, and will be followed by coffee, refreshments and conversation.
Congregants should mark their calendars for the congregational meeting following the church service on July 7.
Emmanuel Lutheran Church
Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday. Fellowship follows the worship service.
Adult education will resume Sunday, Sept. 15, at 9 a.m.
Please plan to have your children attend our Vacation Bible School this summer. VBS will be held Monday, July 15 – Friday, July 10 and will once again be led by Lutherhaven Camp Staff. All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items for all ages are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7. Emmanuel thanks you for your continues support of this outreach ministry to our neighbors in need.
United Methodist Church
Please join us for worship this Sunday at the United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Pastor Alissa Bertsch will be preaching and begin a new sermon series on Simon Peter. All are welcome. Sunday school classes are in recess for the summer.
The annual spring tea has gone to the animals this year as we welcome guest speaker State Wildlife Veterinarian Dr. Kristin Mansfield. “Roar Life is Wild” is the theme of the tea. Tickets are $5. Proceeds will benefit Vacation Bible School scheduled for later this summer.
