Cheney Congregational Church

Sunday morning worship service starts at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary at 423 N. 6th St. Rev. Dr. David Krueger-Duncan will deliver the sermon.

June 2 will be his last day at Cheney Congregational Church as pastor since he is retiring to Arizona. Everyone is welcome to join us in the fellowship hall following the service for coffee and refreshments and the opportunity to say farewell to the pastor.

The next men’s breakfast will be Sunday, June 9 at 7:45 a.m. at the Marketplace Bakery and Eatery on 1st Street in Cheney.

The fourth Wednesday program “Things I Learned Somewhere” is free and open to the public. This series has provided a variety of topics ranging from healthy aging to honey bees and flowers. On June 26, Mariann Donley will share her expertise on making jams and jellies. The presentation starts at 7 p.m. and will last an hour followed by coffee, refreshments and conversation.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship this Sunday, June 2, at 10:30 a.m. Fellowship follows the worship service.

Adult education begins Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.

Please plan to have your children attend our Vacation Bible School (VBS) this summer. VBS will be held Monday July 15 – Friday July 19, and will once again be led by Lutherhaven Camp staff. All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food and personal care items for all ages are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7. Emmanuel thanks the community for its continued support of this outreach ministry to our neighbors.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

A welcoming haven, nourishing all God’s people in body, mind and spirit. Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside.

Attention all college students. The Episcopal, Lutheran and Methodist Campus Ministry, ELM, gathers each Monday at 5 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 639 Elm St., Cheney. For more information contact Rev. Soule at 844-2553.

Choir practice continues under the direction of Alexandra Rannow. The choir practices every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Come sing with us.

Fellowship breakfast is each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. All are welcome.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

United Methodist Church

Please be our guest for 10 a.m. worship this Sunday at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Pat Sleeth will continue the “Catch” sermon series on evangelism. This week’s focus is on inviting others to grow in faith.

Holy Communion will be celebrated this Sunday during the worship service. At 9 a.m. there is a multi-age Sunday school class for middle and high school aged students.
