Cheney Congregational Church

Everyone is invited to join the Sunday morning worship service at 10 a.m. Pastor David Krueger-Duncan will deliver the sermon. Coffee and refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall following the service.

The Pacific Northwest National Association of Christian Congregational Churches conference will be held at the Cheney Congregational Church this Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18. Registration and lunch start at noon on Friday. The conference will go through Saturday afternoon.

Sunday, May 19, Women’s Fellowship will have a lunch meeting at noon at Mariann Donley’s home. Everyone is asked to bring a sandwich to share.

Feed Cheney will be held at the Wren Pierson Building on Monday, May 20. The community is invited to enjoy a free dinner, music and groceries at 5:30 p.m. Feed Cheney is being held one week earlier this month due to the Memorial Day holiday.

The church will serve lunch to the kids at Crosswalk in Spokane on Thursday, May 23.

“Flowers That Make Bees Dance” is the subject of master beekeeper Jim Miller’s presentation for the fourth Wednesday series “Things I Learned Somewhere.”

Jim and Jenine Miller operate Miller’s Homestead outside Cheney and are a source of beekeeping equipment, honey and related products. His talk will begin at 7 p.m. on May 22 at 423 N. 6th St. and will be followed by honey tasting and refreshments at 8 p.m. The public is invited to the free presentation.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

All are welcome to worship at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. Fellowship follows the worship service.

Adult education meets before service at 9 a.m.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items for all ages are always accepted.

Both are open to the community 24/7. Emmanuel thanks you for your continued support of this outreach ministry to our neighbors.

United Methodist Church

Worship with us at the United Methodist Church this Sunday where you will always find a warm welcome. Pastor Pat Sleeth will continue the “Catch” sermon series on evangelism. This week’s topic is “Attracting People in Your Community.” Prior to worship at 9 a.m. there is a multi-age Sunday school class for middle and high school aged students.

Saturday morning, May 18, the UMC “Birthday Bunch” will gather for no-host breakfast at the Iron Skillet. All are welcome at the 9 a.m. celebration.
