ML golf hold the course

A May 2 Northeast A League match at The Fairways Golf Course was a beautiful day, and the sunshine must have given Medical Lake a bit of an extra push as the school saw a member of both the boys and girls golf teams make it into the top 10.

The girls team had a third-place finish, coming in with 110 points to Colville’s 155 and Lakeside’s 171.The boys team finished fourth, scoring 188 compared to Deer Park’s 281, Freeman’s 267 and Lakeside’s 265.

The team score is based on the five best scores for the boys team and four best scores for the girls team.

Lady Cardinal Sierra Brock snagged a sixth place spot in the top 10, a place she shared with Jaden Powers of Colville and Rylee Wuesthoff of Lakeside thanks to a score of 40. First place was captured by Deer Park Amy Selander’s with her score of 54.

Meanwhile, Medical Lake’s Logan Dianda snuck into the top ten boys ranking with an eighth-place score of 57. Newport’s Nick Mackey earned the top spot with 69.
