Few chances left to see 'Savannah Sippin' Society'

Local theater goers wishing to catch a performance of StageWest’s “The Savannah Sipping Society” have a few more chances to do so. And according to the West Plains production company’s officials, audiences might want to hurry and get tickets.

“What a fantastic opening weekend for StageWest Community Theatre’s production of “The Savannah Sipping Society” written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten,” StageWest publicity director Nancy Kuonen said in an email. “The audience members really seemed to enjoy the performances. We had a full house for our Sunday matinee.”

Just four performances are left in StageWest’s current run: Friday, May 3 and May 10 at 7 p.m., Saturday May 4 at 7 p.m. and Sunday May 5 at 3 p.m. Kuonen said a dinner theater performance on May 11 has been sold out.

Regular performance tickets are adults $15, seniors (60+) $10 and students with valid school ID-$5. All performances will be at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, locate at 639 Elm St. in Cheney. Enter through the Huron Street entrance.
