The United Methodist Church will begin worship this Sunday at 10 a.m. Pastor Alissa Bertsch will begin a new sermon series called “The Catch.” This week’s topic is “Becoming Relentlessly Outward Focused.” Service includes the celebration of Holy Communion.
The church will also have a multi-age Sunday school class for middle and high school aged students at 9 a.m. prior to worship.
The adult fellowship will gather for a Mexican themed potluck for Cinco de Mayo at the church this Sunday evening at 6 p.m.
Cheney Congregational Church
Cheney Congregational Church is inviting everyone for worship service Sunday at 10 a.m. Rhonda Jared will deliver the message “The Why’s and How’s of Forgiveness” in pastor David Krueger-Duncan’s absence. This month, communion will be served when the Pastor returns on May 12.
The “Lunch Bunch” meets Thursday, May 9, at noon in the fellowship hall. Everyone is invited.
Choir director Kate Francis holds choir practices on Sundays at 9 a.m. in the sanctuary. It’s open for anyone. For more information call Kate at 509-481-5234.
On May 17-18, the church will host the Pacific Northwest delegation of the National Association of Christian Congregational Churches in the fellowship hall.
The church invites the community to attend a free educational series called “Things I Learned Somewhere” on Wednesday, May 22 at 7 p.m. Jim Miller, Certified Master Beekeeper, will share his expertise on “Flowers That Make Bees Dance.” Cookies and coffee will be served after the presentation.
