Healthy aging talk April 24
Mariah Schimpf M. D. will give some tips on healthy aging at 7 p.m. on April 24 as part of the Cheney Congregational Church’s Fourth Wednesday series “Things I learned Somewhere.” Schimpf is a family physician in Spokane and will share information from a recent Mayo Clinic conference on nutrition and wellness.
The church is at 423 N. 6th St. This series features members of the Congregational Church sharing their expertise in a wide variety of subject, and is free and open to the public. Refreshments and conversation will follow in the Fireside Room.
Cheney book club April 23
The Friends of the Library book discussion group will meet on April 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cheney library meeting room. “Eighty Days,” a book written by Matthew Goodman, will be presented by Louis Blair and the public is invited to attend.
Light refreshments will be served. The titles for next years books will be presented and voted on.
