Cheney Congregational Church

Sunday worship starts at 10 a.m., with coffee, refreshments and conversation in the fellowship hall following the service. On Sunday, April 14, Pastor Dave Krueger-Duncan will give the sermon entitled “Come to America,” a letter from the past.

Men’s Breakfast will be April 14 at 7:45 a.m. at Marketplace Bakery & Eatery on 1st Street, Cheney.

Remember, noon the “Lunch Bunch” will meet today, April 11, at noon.

Maundy Thursday, April 18, will be at 7 p.m. with a special communion.

The church will be open on Good Friday, April 19, for prayer and meditation from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with Pastor Dave in attendance.

Easter Sunday, April 21, there will be a hilltop service at Fairview Cemetery on Salnave Road at 8 a.m., Easter Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall with worship service at 10 a.m.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Holy Eucharist is at 11 a.m. Rev. Christine Soule will preach and preside.

Soup Supper Lenten Study, “The Way of Love,” is each Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the parish hall throughout the Lenten season. All are welcome.

Choir practice continues under the direction of Alexandra Rannow. Practice is every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Come sing with us.

Fellowship breakfast is Thursday mornings at 7:30 a.m. All are welcome.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets every Saturday morning at ll:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

United Methodist Church

Join us in worship as we celebrate Palm Sunday this week at the United Methodist Church. Pastor Alissa Bertsch will preach and continue a Lenten sermon series entitled “With All Your Heart,” focusing this week on “Preparing.”

Preceding worship there is a multi-age Sunday school class for elementary and middle school-aged students.

Sunday evening the adult fellowship will gather at the home of Julie Peck at 6 p.m. Ham will be provided so just bring a side dish to share and join the fun and fellowship.

Looking ahead to Holy Week, Good Friday services will be held at 6 p.m. at the church on April 19. Easter morning sunrise service is at 6 a.m. at the church on Sunday, April 21, followed by brunch from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Easter celebration worship will be at 10 a.m.

Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Emmanuel Lutheran Church invites you to worship with us this Sunday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate Palm/Passion/GIFT Sunday. Fellowship follows the worship service.

Adult education begins Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.

All are welcome to worship with us during Holy Week. Our schedule is as follows:

Maundy Thursday: April 18, worship at 5 p.m.

Good Friday: April 19, worship at 5 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Easter Sunday: April 21, 9 a.m. Easter breakfast, 10:30 a.m. Easter Festival service, 11:30 a.m. fellowship.

All are welcome to visit Emmanuel’s Little Free Library and Free Community Pantry located at 639 Elm St., Cheney. Donations of books, non-perishable food, and personal care items are always accepted. Both are open to the community 24/7.
