After a record-breaking showing at the Sam Adams Classic last Saturday (Mar. 23), senior Larry Still was honored as the Big Sky Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Monday (Mar. 25).
Still earned first place in the pole vault with a vault of 17-1 3/4, which puts him No.10 in NCAA Division I in the pole vault. The mark, achieved on his second attempt at that height, broke his own school record of 17-0 3/4 set in the 2016 season.
“Larry is a driven performer,” said head coach Stan Kerr. “Coach (Eric) Allison and Larry have worked through a lot of seasons of injuries and other minor setbacks to reach this height. We’re very proud of Larry and know that this performance is a great sign for the current outdoor season.”
This marks Still’s first Big Sky Athlete of the Week award of his collegiate career.
